The Videowall version presented in the Sydney Biennale used video wall software with Frame Buffers for each of 10 projectors. Programming enabled each modular edit to play back on a differing machine (Phillips rear projection monitor), then holding a still, one monitor at a time, building a sentence across the space. Once a sentence was completed this process would begin again. Moving through 33 sentences in a linear manner.
Software
The initial version ran Hypercard Voyager Press Video Stack on Apple Computer driving an analogue Laser Disc via x commands. Pioneer LD-V4200 Disc player had a frame buffer and would store the last frame played before each search to a new location on the disc. Laser disc included approximately 30 minutes of video and large still library. Hypercard Programming Lars Anderson, Bill Seaman
Software
Art-in-tact DVD created at ZKM employed Macromedia Director Software programmed by Volker Kuchelmeister.
