Description
"This artwork explores the use of algorithm design applied to social structures.
These diagrams propose the idea of planning societal organization like building algorithmic software, which can be fixed and optimized to improve performance and efficiency. Research is presented as a triptych of abstract structures that provide a framework to bring together egalitarian values, collaborative perspectives and edifying voices. It includes a basic taxonomy of cultural, economic and political concepts relevant to the creation of an ideal civilization, with arrows showing the direction of dependencies, feedback interactions, influences and the relative significance of qualities and activities that denote a ideal human society. Open Society Structures illustrates how an ideal democracy functions, and how the economy, culture, and individual people feed into, and are influenced by aspects of the democratic process." - Paolo Cirio
