CAGEBIM is an installation where the visitor interacts. The visitor enters in the room and can read a John Cage's affirmation: " I am always interested in listening to. I am always less interested on the fixed relation between the parts. I am more and more interested". I offer videoimages which the subject is the Brazilian song "Águas de Março", by Tom Jobim. I cut the sequences and I present them simultaneously. The music fragments in the time and space are shown on the six television sets conducting the participant to several associations of the sequences. On the biggest television set a record spins, and no sound can be listened to. It is in total muteness and the sound that is being listened to on the headphone offers a chaotic situation mixed with the images on the room through the six television sets. If the participant uses a loud speaker and the headphone, his voice enters the electronic multimedia system, it is reverberated and only the participant himself, can listen to mixed sounds through the headphone. The purpose is to create a metapartitura with the Tom Jobim's song and the work process of John Cage. John Cage's ideas challenge the participant to create by chance, in a chaotic way.
