I am new to the ADA, and glad to meet / chat with you via this platform. I am working in the academic field as a researcher of digital culture, and heritage topics and cultural policies.

Dr. MOK Kin Wai Patrick received Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in History, The University of Hong Kong. He has a wide range of research interests from history, heritage and cultural studies, cultural policies to cultural and creative economy in Hong Kong and China. From 2008 to 2014 he served as consultant and manager in the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HKU) for the “Hong Kong Memory Project”, a digital and research project for the preservation of Hong Kong’s historical and cultural heritage. He is Assistant Professor of the BA in Cultural and Creative Industries in the Department of Social Science at Hang Seng Management College, Hong Kong.

His research profile includes: the Study for the Roadmap of Design Strategy Programme (2018-19), a project commissioned by the Hong Kong Design Council of Federation of Hong Kong Industries; Baseline Study on Hong Kong’s Creative Industries (2003), commissioned by the Central Policy Unit; A Review Study on Cultural Audit (2009-2010) commissioned by the Central Policy Unit of HKSAR Government. Recent work includes the Hong Kong / Shenzhen Design Industry Survey (2013-15) by the Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations; Study on Macau’s Cultural and Creative Industries Index (2011-12) and its follow-up studies (2013-16), both commissioned by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macau SAR Government.

Dr. MOK is also a part-time instructor at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Master of Fine Arts program). He is now on board the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association, the Arts Advisor of Arts Administration Panel for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and the member of Digital Advisory Panel of the Singapore National Heritage Board.
