The show is the final showcase of the students work from the course Game
Design. Students in this course are challenged not only to learn the basic
technical skills of game design, using 3D animation/game software such as
Maya, Unity, Blender, and Sculptris. Rather, they are asked to think critically
about art making using these tools by exploring ideas of interactivity,
storytelling, simulation, and social events. Additionally, students focus on
creating responsive artworks while analyzing game structures and language to
push the idea of what game design is. Looking to artists and game designers
such as Eddo Stern, Tale of Tales, and David O’Reilly, students research and
explore how this medium can be used in traditional and non-traditional ways.

-scape
A multi-medium show takes on the idea of abstract space both physically and
metaphysically. The suffix -scape is derived from the word “landscape”,
representing form, formation, shape, scene, picture, and view. The idea of
scape engages with each work, in relation to its individual affect and content.
The framework of the show explores the cultural structure of globalization, in
particular ethnoscape, mediascape, technoscape, and ideoscape, coined by
social-cultural theorist Arjun Appadurai. The integration of the work grapples
with the limitations of media and celebrates our worldly perceptions through
multi-faceted artistic formulations. Presenting international renounced artists
