Born in 1967 in Berlin is an opera director and author. She produces experimental music theatre and media art inter alia in cooperation with Young Vic London (1987-89), the Academy of Arts Berlin (1993/94, Nederlandse Opera (1998), State theatre Kassel (1999), Semperoper Dresden (2000), Fraunhofer Institute Media communication (since 2001) and ZKM Karlsruhe (2006/07). From 2001-05 she was artistic director of the stage for music visualisation at Beethoven-House in Bonn. In 2006 she received her PhD about Richard Wagners music aesthetical dramaturgies. Her main working field is opera as autonomous art form: dealing with graphical music, the theatre of installation, objects and masks, the historical avandgardes of musical theatre, new technologies and possibilities to synthesize traditional and contemporary, linear and non-linear media on opera stage. contact: jhnndmbs@web.de, http://www.jhnndmbs.net
